RED BLUFF —  A Red Bluff man was sentenced to two years in state prison for a DUI collision in February.

The Red Bluff Police Communications Center received multiple reports of a traffic collision on Highway 36W around half a mile west of Monroe Avenue.

Law enforcement said David Allen Brown, 54, of Red Bluff, drove his 2010 Toyota Corolla eastbound 36W between 60-70 mph with a 14-year-old passenger.

The other driver, Tracy Battaglia, 62, of Red Bluff, drove her 2017 Audi Q3 westbound on 36W at around 45mph. The two vehicles collided, head-on, near the 21000 block of 36W.

Brown was arrested on the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol, resulting in bodily injury and child endangerment, both felonies. Brown was medically cleared at a local hospital and booked into the Tehama County Jail.

Brown’s 14-year-old passenger was transported via ambulance to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Battaglia was transported via ambulance to a local hospital and treated for moderate to severe injuries, the release said.

According to law enforcement, a records check in the DMV database revealed that Battaglia’s driver’s license was suspended for DUI, and she is on DUI probation until 2026.
